FIRE BAN LIFTED

Although advising extreme caution when having a fire, the Bowden Fire Chief has lifted the Fire Ban enacted on May 6, 2009.

INTERMUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Red Deer County and the Town of Bowden have been preparing an Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP). This plan deals with land in and around the Town of Bowden and will serve as a tool for coordinating future land uses and development between the two municipalities. DOG LICENSES
All dogs in the Town of Bowden should now have a RED 2009 dog tag. Dog tags are priced as follows:

Spayed/neutered: $30.00
Intact: $40.00

Licenses for restricted breeds remain at $100.00 for the year.

All dogs over 3 months old are required to be licensed within one business day of arriving in Bowden.

CAT TAGS
Cat tags are available on a voluntary basis. Tags are $5.00 per cat and are valid for as long as the cat resides with the registered owner.

BUSINESS LICENSES
Business Licenses are now available at the Town Office. Due date: January 31st. Your Business License will be effective until December 31st of each year. All businesses operating in the Town of Bowden, including home-based businesses, must have a business license. Fees are as follows:

Resident Business License - $25.00
Non-Resident Business License - $100.00

COMMUNITY CALENDAR
In an effort to help coordinate events, the Recreation and Culture Board will be publishing a "Calendar of Events" on behalf of service organizations, societies, and commercial operations. If you are planning an event and need to determine the best day for the event, call Donna at 403-224-3729 or Sandy at 403-224-3582, and they'll be able to tell you what else is happening on the days you might want to stage an event. If you have already scheduled an event, call Donna or Sandy for inclusion in the calendar.
