2010 Town of Bowden Municipal Elections

Council has appointed Andy Weiss, Manager of Administrative Services as the Town of Bowden’s Returning Officer for the 2010 Municipal Election.

The date for the 2010 Municipal Election Nomination Day is Monday September 20, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Town Office. (Nomination Packages are now available at the Town Office).

The date for the 2010 Municipal Election Advance Vote is Saturday October 16, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bowden Lions Hall.

The date for the 2010 Municipal Election is Monday October 18, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bowden Lions Hall.

September 9 - Community Registration Night and Information Fair, 7 pm, Bowden Lions’ Hall. For more information or to confirm your attendance as an exhibitor, please call Corrie at 403.224.2207or email fcss@town.bowden.ab.ca.

September 23 - Barbecue and movie in the park, 6 pm, Centennial Park (arena park). Come and enjoy a FREE BBQ and movie courtesy of the Bowden Recreation and Culture Board. BBQ, popcorn, cotton candy, glow sticks! Please bring a donation item for Tools for Schools to “pay it forward” for our FREE event.

DOG LICENSES
All dogs in the Town of Bowden should now have a GREEN 2010 dog tag. Dog tags are priced as follows:

Spayed/neutered: $30.00
Intact: $40.00

Licenses for restricted breeds remain at $100.00 for the year.

All dogs over 3 months old are required to be licensed within one business day of arriving in Bowden.

CAT TAGS
Cat tags are available on a voluntary basis. Tags are $5.00 per cat and are valid for as long as the cat resides with the registered owner.

BUSINESS LICENSES
Business Licenses are now available at the Town Office. Due date: January 31st. Your Business License will be effective until December 31st of each year. All businesses operating in the Town of Bowden, including home-based businesses, must have a business license. Fees are as follows:

Resident Business License - $25.00
Non-Resident Business License - $100.00
